1. In the 1841 census, Abraham 30 Susanna 25 and Esther 0 were housed at the Cuckfield Union Workhouse together with other Belchamber relatives: George 1786 55, Elizabeth 1786 55, John 1806 35, Elizabeth 1811 30, John 1821 20, John 1832 9, Elizabeth 1834, Jane 1837 4 and Lydia 1838 3.
2. In the 1851 census Abraham Belchamber age 40 rail labourer was living at Kent St, Lindfield with Esther 10 Fanny 3 Isaac 8, Maude 6 and wife Susannah 38.
