1. In the 1851 census, Abraham Belchamber age 40 rail labourer was living at Kent St, Lindfield with Esther 10 Fanny 3 Isaac 8, Maude 6 and wife Susannah 38.
2. The 1861 census shows Abraham 50 labourer living with his wife Susannah 48 and children Isaac 18 Laborer, Fanny 12, Abel 10, Nelson 8, Ellen 5 and Frank Bellchambers 2.
